Kirkin o’ the Tartans

The pageantry of the Highlands returns to Washington, DC, as the St. Andrew’s Society of Washington, DC marches into Washington National Cathedral for the Annual National Kirkin’ o’ the Tartans. Led by the Society Color Guard and Pipes & Drums, scores of kilted Society members will file into the grand edifice to host the National Capital Region’s Scottish-American community as they pay tribute to Scottish ancestors who struggled to gain, preserve and pass down civil liberties and religious freedoms.
